Does the City of Mesquite have per-diem positions for dispatch. I am a retired police officer with dipatch experience. I have seen a number of dispatcher positions available in the area cities, including Mesquite, and thought about applying, to get back into the field in a different aspect.
Where I worked, California, we had a few per-diem dispatchers that worked in a couple of different cities filling shifts that were vacant for various reasons.
One more question about the position. If I sucessfully completed the hiring process and was offered a job how could previous comitments be hadled. I have three five day comitments throughout the year, March, May, and September, that are pre-paid travel that I could not miss.
Thanks for your time and I have to say the City of Mesquite by far has the most interactive web page I have ever seen. It's nice to see someone is putting to use the available technology. |

We have only full time positions avalaible and I could not gurantee you can have certain days off. It is likely you could, but not for sure.
