| As a Mesquite Police Officer, you will be issued the latest, high tech law enforcement gear available. |

Each officer is issued the following equipment upon being hired:
- Glock pistol (your choice of 9mm or .40 caliber) (ammunition also provided)
- Ruger mini-14 .223 rifle (ammunition also provided)
- Rechargeable Streamlight flashlight
- Cold weather uniforms (long sleeve shirt and heavy pants - cleaning expenses paid)
- Warm weather uniforms (short sleeve shirt, lighter pants, and shorts - cleaning expenses paid)
- Handcuffs
- ASP baton
- OC Spray
- Leather Gear
- Motorola portable radio
